100 Days Smarter!

Can you believe your first grader has already been in school over 100 days?  We celebrated the 100th day of school, by doing fun learning activities with that snazzy number 100.  Check out some of our day:
Creative Station:
She turned her "100" into a dumbbell!  Good idea!
Structure Station:
Teams worked together to build something using exactly 100 cubes.
I can write 100 words!
Kiddos hunted around the room to find/record 100 of their favorite words.
Writing Station:
What would YOU do with 100 dollars?
Tech Station:
Firsties typed the numbers to 100 and practiced using Word features to change fonts, colors, & sizes.
Race to 100!!
Roll the dice, color that many squares on your 100 chart, and the first player to 100 wins!
100 Boards:
Filling out their unique boards with their name patterns.
Graphing Station:
Sorting their shapes to graph & analyze.
Hunting rhyming pairs in our 100 poem.

How many ways can we count to 100??  1s? 10s? 5s? 2s?
Dancing & singing to the Count to 100 songs! :)
Following directions to hunt numbers and color a surprise design...a cat! :)
Sorting our 100 objects into groups of 10, 5, & 2 to count.
What they would look like in 100 seconds and 100 years.

First kiddos finished with their 100 word hunt!! :)
