Halloween falling on a school day could easily equal totally bonkers kiddos and a very frazzled teacher...NOT if firsties are engaged with fun learning activities all day! 1st grade kiddos spent their holiday rotating around to all of the different 1st grade rooms to participate in math/literacy/science activities. All of the first graders came to our room to work on Math. We created & analyzed BooOOooOooOoo Graphs with orange, green, & brown O cereal. What was their favorite part of making these graphs?? When they found a broken or double cereal piece in their scoop...they just had to eat it...we couldn't have incorrect data pieces. ;)
