Alrighty folks, it's time for me to catch you up to speed on some fun things we've learned about over the past month of school!
In Science, we were working on describing & comparing/contrasting objects by color, shape, size, texture. With all of the fall foliage on the nature trail, we used leaves to help us out. We went on a leaf hunt and collected a few of our favorite leaves. We sorted and graphed these leaves oodles of different ways!
In Writing, we were introducing commas in a series (or "comma-comma-and" as the kiddos refer to it). The kids did leaf rubbings of their collection and wrote a couple of sentences describing the attributes of their leaves. You wouldn't believe how many commas were popping up in stories after that!! :)
P.S. Please forgive the pics being all out of order! The Blogger program is being difficult today, and doesn't seem to understand my OCD need to order the pictures. ;)
