When you put on a sight word necklace, you are transformed into that word. My name is no longer Mrs. Girdler, it is "should" or "because" or "where"...whatever word I am wearing that day. The kids put on their sight word necklaces & take a few minutes, walking around introducing themselves to each other, "Hello TIME. My name is THERE." "Howdy, THAT. I'm THAN." A quick & fun way to get them moving, talking, & what's that??? practicing sight words at the same time. They take their names very seriously...so cute! :)
