Free iPad Apps for Spelling Words

 Here are a few of our favorite apps to use in the classroom to practice spelling words.  These are both free apps that the kids love.  So, if you have an iphone, ipod, or ipad at home...check them out!
This app is called Spellosaur.  You enter in up to 5 spelling words you want to practice, and it walks you through different levels of practice activities with the words.

This app is called Paint Sparkles.  It could be used for tons of things, but we use it to practice writing spelling words.  It sparkles as you write, and music plays fast/slow based on how quickly you move your finger.  They BEG to "paint sparkle" their words every afternoon!
